Even though all of the leaves had fallen by the time we did Alexandria + Marcus’ engagement session, it still is one of my favorite seasons to photograph in. Our location was the Big Sioux Recreation Area in Brandon, South Dakota and it made for a gorgeous backdrop.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect—a gentle breeze carried the essence of autumn, and the sunlight played peek-a-boo through the trees. As a photographer, capturing the love between two people is a privilege, and Alexandria and Marcus made it an absolute delight.

From the moment we started, it was evident that theirs was a love story filled with joy, laughter, and an undeniable connection. The energy between them created an infectious atmosphere, turning the photo session into a delightful adventure. Big Sioux Recreation Area provided a stunning natural canvas, enhancing the romance of the day. We strolled along the serene paths, capturing candid moments against the blanket of leaves on the ground. Alexandria’s radiant smile complemented Marcus’s playful charm, creating a dynamic and captivating chemistry that translated beautifully onto film.
