About a month ago my husband told me about a new wedding venue out in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. I absolutely love photographing in the Black Hills, therefore my only response to him was “I want to do a styled shoot out there”! And then this started the constant texts and phone calls with the owners of Silver Spur Ranch and Justin with Justin Straw Designs as we found a date that would work and started planning this beautiful shoot!!

The Venue

Silver Spur Ranch is nestled in the hills west of Belle Fourche, South Dakota. It is a beautiful wedding venue that captures the essence of rustic elegance. This white barn stands out against the rolling hills and inside you can find tall ceilings, beautiful wood pillars and an exquisite wood staircase!

The beauty continues inside the barn, where there is a stage located in front of a wall of windows overlooking the hills. This feature provides a captivating focal point for your head table! Equally as beautiful are the three gold chandeliers that hang down from the ceilings!

This venue is a dream come true for couples seeking a truly memorable wedding experience. The outdoor area is absolutely beautiful with tall grass and occasionally yellow wild flowers. Occasionally you may also be able to see their longhorn steer and horses grazing peacefully in the field! 

The Beauty

In the world of weddings, capturing the essence of timeless and exquisite style is a true art form. Our stunning model, Rebecca, wore a breathtaking gown from AW.Bridal. This gown was meticulously crafted with intricate lace detailing and a flowing train. Every step she took radiated confidence, elegance and a touch of ethereal charm.

Sunny Skin Care and Beauty proved to be a true master in the realm of makeup artistry. The makeup process was a dance of colors and textures, accentuating Rebecca’s natural beautify while adding a touch of glamour. Therefore the final look was absolutely stunning!!

Next up came hair by Sunny 605 Beauty. She created a beautiful pony tail on Rebecca with soft elegant curls in the front that enhanced Rebecca’s facial features. Both Sunny Skin Care and Beauty and Sunny 605 Beauty created work that perfectly complimented the overall vision of the styled shoot.

Our handsome model, Tyler, wore a sleek black suit and bow tie from Main Street Menswear. His impeccable style perfectly complemented Rebecca, creating a captivating visual harmony! And together they helped us bright to life a vision of romance and grace that will inspire bride and grooms in their pursuit of their own unforgettable wedding day. 

The Designer

Justin Straw Designs turned the inside space into a beautiful masterpiece. He transformed the beautiful wood stair case with an awe-inspiring display of florals and greenery, which ran up the railings on each side. The tables, adorned with white linen table cloths, were embellished with lavish pink peonies, lush greenery, and elegant tall candles. The meticulous attention to detail extended to the table settings, where beautiful china, glass cups and hand-written name tags added a personal touch.

The artistry and creativity demonstrated by Justin Straw Designs exemplify the transformative power of thoughtful design and attention to detail. By incorporating elements like a floral staircase, lavish tables capes, and personalized name tags, couples can infused their special day with a touch of sophistication and personalized charm, creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. Lastly, he created an absolutely stunning bridal boutique out of florals in a variety of colors!

The Cake

At this styled shoot, I had the pleasure of experiencing a true culinary work of art – a white wedding cake crafted by the talented hands of Good Witch Cakeshop. This exquisite creation showcased intricate lace details that evoked a sense of timeless elegance. Justin Straw Designs also adorned the top and sides with beautiful florals. Good Witch Cakeshops dedication to creating not only a visually appealing cake but also a delectable treat ensures that each bite is a moment of pure bliss.
